Dr. Jalal El-Mir is the Managing Partner of the firm with extensive experience in finance and banking law, corporate law, and construction law. He is particularly recognized for his expertise in construction claims and arbitration proceedings conducted under FIDIC regulations, advising on complex, high-value infrastructure, and development projects.
Dr. Jalal has advised clients on joint ventures, large-scale commercial contracts, and cross-sector transactions, providing strategic legal support from project structuring through dispute resolution. His practice combines strong technical knowledge with a pragmatic, results-driven approach, enabling him to represent both corporate entities and financial institutions in sophisticated legal matters.
As Managing Partner, he oversees the firm's strategic direction and complex mandates, ensuring high professional standards and tailored legal solutions aligned with the clients' objectives.
Academic qualifications:
Bachelors in law - Lebanese and French Law (Honor list), from Saint Joseph University of Beirut, Lebanon (1997).
Masters in Banking & Financial Law from the Panthéon Sorbonne (Paris I) University Law School (1999).
PHD Banking Law (with distinction) - Panthéon Assas (Paris II) University law school (2022).
Professional qualifications:
Former senior legal counsel for the Minister of Industry in Lebanon helping in drafting and implementing the industrial plan reforms of the Government (2020).
Former member of the legal department at the Crédit Agricole Bank in Paris, France (1998-1999).
Former Instructor of the Business Law and Corporation Law Courses at the Lebanese University (LU) in Beirut and has various publications in civil and criminal law (2004-2006).
Member in the Beirut Bar of Lawyers since 1999 and the International Bar of Lawyers since 2004.
